A little slice of heaven…

My husband, myself, and our 2 kids (age 11 and 13), just got back from an amazing trip to Turpin Meadow Ranch. We rented a 2 bedroom chalet and stayed for nearly 1 week. This awesome establishment surpassed any expectations that our family had!

We tried many of the activities: horseback riding, utv rental, fly fishing. Our horseback guide, Rachel, was enthusiastic, very personable, and able to show us some breathtaking views of the valley. Our fishing guides, Max and Carter, did an incredible job with both our son (an avid fisherman) and our daughter (who doesn’t want to ever touch a fish). We were able to fish right on the property, and it really made for a great pastime each day! Devon did a great job preparing us for the ATV riding, and the trails are crazy awesome! The one thing that we heard consistently from the employees at this place was how great their employers are and what a great place it is to work at. You could feel a sense of pride and commitment to the establishment which isn’t always the case these days. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help out if we needed something.

The location is perfect. We could make it in to grand Teton park within 30 minutes. We had a spread of a breakfast each morning (included with our stay), and then dinner each night at the restaurant on property, which was again, gourmet, top notch, and very satisfying after a long day outside. They have a classy bar area and outdoor seating at the restaurant as well. Cornhole, ladderball, and board games in the eating area make for a family friendly, yet rustic/elegant atmosphere.

The rooms were lovely as well. Upscale bathroom facilities, comfy beds, and unrivaled views of the Tetons.
The only feedback I would have is that the “global” gratuity that is charged at the end of the stay made for some confusion. We weren’t sure if the specific people who helped us got the gratuity, or if it was split in a pooled fashion. We separately tipped people to make sure they knew they were appreciated, but I would suggest eliminating the gratuity at the end. It doesn’t incentivize personalized treatment, especially with some of the staff in the dining area.

Overall, we loved this place and hope to come back in the coming years as a new family tradition! Thank you, Turpin Meadow Ranch!
