Heaven is in Wyoming, at Turpin Meadow Ranch
I almost don’t want to do this review because I want to be able to book Turpin Meadow the next time I am in Wyoming! If the word gets out about this place, I am sure there will be a waiting list to book! Turpin Meadow is a small, gentle ranch that is very peaceful and one with the land.
It’s a long, but well marked road that ends at the ranch with spectacular views of the Tetons, horses, the Buffalo Fork river running through the property, an incredible but intimate lodge with a massive fireplace, outside porches, horse shoes, archery and a delicious restaurant, with lovely staff all around.
They offer fly fishing which was terrific. We caught fish and waded in a river that has never been stocked and is full of cutthroat trout and mountain white fish. The horse riding was a beautiful scenic trek to views that would make you cry. We stayed in a chalet which had a large living room, an upstairs and downstairs bedroom, was very spacious and decorated to perfection. French press coffee and a fridge in the room made the mornings looking at the mountains and river very special! Make sure you go!
