BUFFALO FORK VALLEY

Fly Fishing Experience

Join us for a ½ or full day of walk and wade fly fishing, a popular method of angling that involves moving on foot through streams, rivers, or other bodies of water while fishing. It is a technique that allows anglers to access areas that are otherwise inaccessible from the shoreline, providing them with the opportunity to target fish in remote and secluded locations. Our experienced guides carefully study the currents, water conditions, and insect activity to determine the most effective approach. They use various techniques such as dead drifting, swinging, stripping, or twitching the flies to imitate natural prey and entice the fish to strike. It requires skill, observation, and knowledge of the fish’s behavior and feeding habits to be successful in walk and wade fly fishing. Whether you are a seasoned angler or a beginner, we provide a range of fly fishing options to cater to your preferences. Our expert guides are available to assist you in honing your techniques, selecting the appropriate flies, and navigating the river’s currents. They possess extensive knowledge of the local waters and can provide valuable insights to help you make the most of your fishing experience. Fly Fishing offers a more immersive and intimate experience with nature as anglers are in direct contact with the water and surroundings. It provides opportunities to explore pristine landscapes, discover hidden pools, and encounter a wide range of wildlife.

All trips begin at Turpin Meadow Ranch and fishing location is dependent on time of year, water conditions, and ability levels. We suggest wearing shorts or athletic pants made of synthetic quick drying material and comfortable water shoes. Have a rain or wind jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and bug spray.

Not suitable for children under 6.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The half day and full day in Bridger-Teton, as well as the Family Fish 101, DO NOT include a Wyoming fishing license. A fishing license is required and must be purchased separately. They can be purchased online at the Wyoming Game & Fish website.
